The Forest Stream is an original mixed media landscape by Misty Lady (Malgorzata Nierobisz), capturing the movement of water and the quiet atmosphere of a lush woodland setting.

Greens and blues dominate the composition as a flowing stream winds through the forest. Expressive patches, washes and painted marks suggest dense foliage, filtered light and the changing surface of the water, while the stream flowing over moss-covered rocks introduces movement into the otherwise tranquil scene.

Rather than describing every detail precisely, Misty Lady uses an impressionistic approach to evoke the experience of being surrounded by woodland — light, colour, water and vegetation combining into an atmospheric landscape.

Watercolour, acrylic paint and ink are layered across highly textured 240 gsm aquarella fine art paper, allowing the character of the surface to become part of the finished artwork.

The Forest Stream is a unique original artwork rather than a reproduction or print.
