Military Monoculus is a strange and darkly humorous original character painting by Jakub DK (Jakub Krzewniak), created with acrylic paints and markers on a genuine vintage English dictionary page from the 1930s.

The central character is a bizarre one-eyed soldier dressed in military attire and carrying an oversized club. Part warrior, part monster and part absurd cartoon figure, Military Monoculus turns familiar military imagery into something surreal and deliberately strange.

The combination of grotesque character design, dark humour and the typography of the old dictionary page gives the artwork its distinctive character. The original printed text remains visible beneath the painting and becomes an integral part of the composition.

Couldn’t be happier with my painting, and the communication was amazing and I needed it quickly and the seller pulled out all the stops to make sure I received it in time. Very happy.
