Happy Friday is a one-of-a-kind original mixed media artwork by Jakub DK (Jakub Krzewniak), hand-painted on a genuine vintage English dictionary page from the 1930s.

A lively collection of strange faces, mischievous skulls and playful characters takes over the aged page, capturing the slightly chaotic energy of reaching the end of the working week. Humour, spontaneity and a touch of the macabre come together in an artwork that sits somewhere between drawing, painting and visual doodling.

Acrylic paint and markers are applied directly over an authentic page from The Universal Dictionary of the English Language, allowing the original typography to remain visible beneath the composition. The aged paper becomes an active part of the artwork rather than simply a background.
