Frida is a large original acrylic painting on canvas by Misty Lady (Malgorzata Nierobisz), combining figurative painting with references to Qajar-era Persian miniature aesthetics and the legendary Lady Godiva motif.

The composition reimagines the familiar equestrian image through the unmistakable presence of Frida Kahlo. She appears nude yet dignified, calm and self-possessed, seated on an oversized rocking horse whose traditional wooden rails seem to splinter and lift beneath its movement.

The contrast between the restless horse and Frida’s composed posture creates a tension between movement and stillness, vulnerability and strength, control and rebellion. Decorative details and ornamental accents add another layer to the composition, while the scale of the canvas gives the scene a strong physical presence.
