Whispered Promises is an intimate male couple portrait by Misty Lady (Malgorzata Nierobisz), printed on a genuine vintage English dictionary page from the 1930s.

The artwork portrays two men sharing a quiet embrace, their closed eyes and close composition creating a tender moment of affection, trust and connection. Soft figurative treatment contrasts with the aged typography underneath, bringing contemporary portrait art together with the history carried by the original paper.

Each print is produced on an authentic page from The Universal Dictionary of the English Language. As every vintage page contains different words and naturally occurring signs of age, each finished print has subtle individual variations.
