  • FROM LIMITED EDITION OF 150

Alice has disappeared. The rabbit appears to have taken her place.

Where is Alice by Jakub DK (Jakub Krzewniak) is a surreal limited-edition artwork combining a mysterious rabbit-headed figure, a solitary red balloon and the typography of an authentic vintage dictionary page.

Almost the entire composition is rendered in black, allowing the intense red balloon to become the single point of colour. The contrast gives the piece its strange, slightly unsettling character — somewhere between a forgotten illustration, a surreal fairy tale and a fragment of a dream.

Each print is created on a genuine page taken from The Universal Dictionary of the English Language, originally published in the 1930s. Because every dictionary page contains different words, typography and natural signs of age, no two finished pieces are exactly alike.
