Where Fish Drink is an original surreal mixed-media painting by Misty Lady (Malgorzata Nierobisz), transforming an ordinary glass of water into an improbable miniature world inhabited by koi fish.

In this playful dreamlike scene, koi appear to have abandoned the pond for something considerably more sophisticated — swimming inside a drinking glass surrounded by twisted organic forms. The absurd scale and unexpected combination of familiar objects give the painting its slightly humorous, surreal character.

Misty Lady combines watercolour, acrylic paint and ink, allowing transparent washes, stronger painted accents and drawn details to interact with the pronounced surface of highly textured 240 g/m² aquarelle fine-art paper.

This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, not a reproduction or print.
