Flowers above. Ink below. Somewhere between them, a woman who doesn't need permission to be noticed.

Running Tattoo is an original mixed-media portrait by Misty Lady (Malgorzata Nierobisz), bringing together expressive female portraiture, botanical forms and intricate tattoo-inspired linework.

A confident female figure emerges beneath vivid red and coral flowers surrounded by green foliage. Across her shoulder, flowing black graphic lines behave almost like a tattoo — connecting the body with the surrounding composition rather than simply decorating it.

Created predominantly in watercolour with acrylic paint and ink, the artwork balances spontaneous washes of colour with controlled illustrative detail. Warm orange, red and earthy tones contrast with greens, blues and deep black.

The result sits somewhere between contemporary portraiture, botanical art and tattoo-inspired illustration — delicate in places, graphic and assertive in others.

This is the original one-of-a-kind artwork, not a print or reproduction.
