Melancholy is a one-of-a-kind original ink drawing by Jakub DK (Jakub Krzewniak), created directly on an authentic vintage dictionary page from the 1930s.

A solitary female portrait emerges through expressive black lines, combining elegance with a darker, introspective mood. The restrained monochrome drawing leaves the aged typography visible throughout the composition, allowing fragments of language and traces of time to become part of the portrait itself.

Rather than being printed or reproduced, the image has been drawn directly by hand onto an original page from The Universal Dictionary of the English Language. There is only one original artwork.
