  • FROM LIMITED EDITION OF 150

Two cats. Plenty of colour. And a dictionary page old enough to have seen considerably stranger things.

Colorful Companions by Misty Lady (Malgorzata Nierobisz) is a vibrant cat portrait reproduced as a limited-edition artwork on an authentic vintage dictionary page.

Two expressive cats form the centre of the composition, brought to life through strong colour and a playful contemporary style. Beneath the image, the typography and warm aged surface of the original paper remain visible, creating a layered combination of animal portraiture, vintage ephemera and modern decorative art.

The image originates from an original painting by Misty Lady and is printed individually on a genuine page from The Universal Dictionary of the English Language, originally published in the 1930s.

Every dictionary page contains different words, typography and natural traces of age, so each finished print has its own individual background and character.
